Deck nearly finished. I've bee calling these pages Autumn even though we have yet to actually reach that actual season. But here the mental change has already been made with the cooling of the nights and change in the leaves at the tops of trees. We did the handrail on the back steps first as a practice run. We ended up modifying the design for the front.
Here is the end of day pic with the new railings. View from driveway.
Another view. Here is a view out the back door.
Brad and Morgan were the first to arrive. They are walking in our foot high grass. We need the tractor back! Leslie arrived next and Morgan went to her mom. Bob arrived next and I think it was he that was so amusing. Bob being his usual photogenic self. Today he looks like he stepped from an Eddy Bauer catalogue. With Leslie entertaining the baby, Brad has achieved a practiced slouch. An easy pose for those well fortified with brandy-loaded sangria and a half glass of wine. Bob and Leslie chatting while Brad is off with the baby. Chris and Nancy arrive. Chris is looking rather sober here.
The roast is done so time to head inside for supper.
